2010 Winter/Spring Youth Packet
So, it's March! I'm hoping that we'll start saying good-bye to the colder months and march right into spring. Sometimes though, God asks us to stop marching and moving so much. This month's verse is Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." We are told by God to calm down, look to God, and trust in God's strength. We will be taken care of.
Mark your calendar and plan to come to these events!
March 1--Monday:
Silent Auction items may begin to be dropped off at the church during office hours (Remember 1:00-4:00 pm on Mondays!)
March 7--Sunday:
Sunday Morning Youth Discussion (SMYD), 11:15 am-12:00 pm; upstairs in Room 1.
Youth Group dinner at 5:00 pm; youth group ends at 8:00 pm.
March 14--Sunday:
Regular SMYD, 11:15 am-12:00 pm.
Youth Group dinner at 5:00 pm; youth group ends at 8:00 pm. Central Presbyterian Church's youth group will be joining us.
March 20--Saturday:
Silent Auction setup, 6:00-9:00 pm.
If you are going on the mission trip you are expected to help with this.
March 21--Sunday:
Silent Auction, 10:30 am-1:00 pm (NO SMYD)
Youth Group dinner at 5:00 pm; Underground Church, 6:30-8:00 pm.
March 28--Sunday:
Regular SMYD, 11:15 am-12:00 pm.
Youth Group dinner at 5:00 pm; youth group ends at 8:00 pm.
March 30--Tuesday:
Ski Day at Eldora
We'll be leaving Westview at 8:00 am and will be back at 5:30 pm.
Cost details are still being worked out.
April 1--Thursday:
Not an April Fool's joke...all youth hangout, 10:00 am-2:00 pm.
Bring $$ for Chipotle.
Thursday night--Maundy Thursday service, 7:00 pm at Westview.
April 2--Friday:
Ecumenical Good Friday Service, 7:00 pm at Westview.
